“Fundraising marathon is a large-scale all-Ukrainian charity event, which leads to the targeted assistance for mentees from various funds. Who contributes for collection of these funds? First of all, it is worth noting the important role of fundraisers. They join the funds and promise them to raise the necessary amount. It is they who are preparing to the run and attract the attention of the community to the social problem by doing sports. I’m running to help – the motto of our ambassadors. And they really help. Special gratitude to the funds involved in fundraising, which promptly send donations to solve the problems of their mentees. Of course, such a result is formed by everyone who joined the project and donated money on the platform of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange. The next “Fundraising Marathon” will be held in the spring of 2018 within the framework of the 8th Kyiv Half Marathon. We will continue this tradition as long as it yields a result,” – commented Viktoria Veremiienko, Director of Marketing and Communications at Run Ukraine.
This year for the first time at the Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2017 a women’s charity race for 3 km #AvonPinkRun took place, 738 participants of which collected 177 781 UAH for the purchase of a mobile mammography for the diagnosis of breast cancer.
