Regulations of «Charity Race «Kyiv Unbroken Marathon» (online)» 

 

 

1. Race date

Date: September 30 – October 01, 2023

2. Race objective

The charity race «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon”» (hereinafter – the Race) is held to motivate amateur athletes to keep in shape, as well as to raise funds.

50% of the profit from the courses with a metal medal and 100% of the entry fees for the courses with an e-medal will be donated to the UNITED 24 fund. The government fundraising platform, established by Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the President of Ukraine, is collecting money to purchase military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

3. Organizers, patronage, and sponsors

The NGO “Run Ukraine” serves as the Race Organizer.

Under the patronage of

  • The Department for the Youth and Sports of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council (KSCA).

The Race Organizer forms the Organizing Committee from among its staff and invites branch-specific experts from various types of sports.

 

The Organizing Committee includes

  • Race Director, Tretiakov I.O.;
  • Director of the Department for the Youth and Sports of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council (KSCA), Khan Yu.M.

5. Terms of admission to the Race

The participants may be admitted to the Race provided a timely entry fee payment.

 

The 13-year-old participants (for the 5 km course) and the 15-year-old participants (for the 10 km course) are also required to present Parental (legal representative’s) consent for the participation of a minor participant in the races of 5 km and 10 km (Annex 2 or Annex 3 respectively).

 

All registered participants bear sole responsibility for their health and well-being regarding the race and confirm it by signing a corresponding statement.

6. Routes and track

It is up to the participant to choose a route for their race.

The 42 km route (final race track) must include a distance of 42 km or more.

The 21 km route (final race track) must include a distance of 21 km or more.

The 10 km route (final race track) must include a distance of 10 km or more.

The Free distance does not require a final race track.

Races of smaller distances are not taken into account.

 

7. Race registration

Participants may be admitted to the Race provided proper and timely registration.

Registration only is possible online on the organizer’s website  https://kyivmarathon.org/ 

 

Online registration of participants for the Charity Race Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online) is open from June 29, 2023, through 22:00 on October 1, 2023 (provided free slots are available).

 

The Race Organizer reserves the right to suspend or close registration without warning upon reaching the limit of participants.

 

A participant is registered once the application is filled in and the registration fee is paid.

The registration fee paid by a participant is non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to if a participant is unable to participate in the Race, cannot finish the course of choice, cannot finish the course within the set time limit, or if the participant is disqualified or the Race is canceled due to the unexpected consequences of COVID-19 pandemic or force majeure circumstances.

A participant’s registration is annulled if the participant provides the wrong information upon registration. If the registration is annulled, the registration fee is not refunded.

A paid registration may not be canceled, and the entry fee may not be refunded.

8. Entry fee for individual registrations. Slot limits

The entry fee for the course «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online)» (online with a metal medal): 42 km is 890 UAH.

The entry fee for the course «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online)» (online with a metal medal): 21 km is 890 UAH.

The entry fee for the course «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online)» (online with a metal medal): 10 km is 890 UAH.

The entry fee for the course «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online)» (online with a metal medal): Free distance is 890 UAH.

The entry fee for the course «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online)» (online with an virtual medal): Free distance is 450 UAH.

The entry fee for the course «Kyiv City Marathon “Kyiv Unbroken Marathon” (online)» (online with a metal medal): 42 km is 890 UAH.

The entry fee does not include the bank transfer fee.

The race participants pay the entry fee using an electronic payment system on the organizer’s website: https://runukraine.org.

9. Starter packs, starter pack distribution, medal presentation

The starter packs of participants on the courses of 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, and Free distance include:

  • race bib number with a participant’s name
  • finisher medal (mailed to the participant within one month after the last date of the race, provided the participant completes the course on the dates of the Race)
  • participant’s diploma in the Personal profile

The starter pack of a participant on the Free distance (e-medal) course includes:

  • race bib number with a participant’s name
  • finisher e-medal – the medal appears in the participant’s personal profile within 3 days from the date of the race, provided the participant completes the course on the dates of the Race and submits confirmation of completion through the Strava app (automatically submitted if the account is connected during registration) or by letter with a link or screenshot of the track emailed to registration @runukraine.org;
  • participant’s diploma in the Personal profile

A medal may be received after the participant sends a letter to [email protected] with a link or a screenshot of the track covering the distance.

Letters are accepted within 3 calendar days after the last day of the race. The dates are specified in point 4.

Costs for the medal delivery by Nova Poshta across Ukraine are included in the registration.

International delivery costs 500 UAH.

10. Award ceremony

Winners are not determined. No award ceremony.
