Starting August 22, we open registration for children’s races Kid’s Run that will take place on October 5 within the 10th jubilee Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon.
Kid’s Run is a chance for the youngest participants to try themselves and run their first race.
On Saturday, October 5, there will be children’s races Kid’s Run on the territory of VDNG complex. Each child will have a chance to participate in a race according to his or her age group:
100 m – for children ages 3-6 (race without adults)
400 m – 7-8 years old
800 m – 9-10 years old
1500 m – 11-12 years old
All kids finishing their course will get finisher’s medals.
Children younger than 3 years old will have a chance to participate in a family race together with their parents.
“Such races are more than a child’s chance to try himself in sports, – says Dmytro Chernitskyi, the General Manager of Run Ukraine. – This is the family festival of joy and love where children can find new friends, parents can find common ground with their children, they all can share a hobby. A finisher’s medal can become your child’s source of pride and motivation to move forward. I believe it’s very cool”.
This year Run Ukraine signed a memorandum about cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which makes participation in all children’s races free of charge.
On October 5 there will also be a Family Walk of 1000 meters for all family members without any age limit.
