The Kyiv Unbroken Marathon 2023 and Run Ukraine join the All-Ukrainian minute of silence, which will be celebrated on October 1 at 9:00 a.m. throughout Ukraine.
This year, for the first time, Ukraine will celebrate the day of its defenders on a new date. On October 1, all of Ukraine will stop for a minute to silently honor the feat of Ukrainians who died defending our state.
In this regard, the Run Ukraine team and the organizing committee of the Kyiv Marathon decided to postpone the start of the main distance of the event – 42 km.
The start of the 42 km distance will take place at 9:03 a.m. after a minute of silence to commemorate the fallen defenders of Ukraine. The schedule of other starts does not change.
As a reminder, on October 1, veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war and active servicemen who were seriously wounded at the front and underwent or are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Next Step center in Irpen, which has been operating since 2018 and is a project of the American charity fund Revived Soldiers, will also take part in the start.
